She's Got The Look

Down pat! Who could resist it?

She looks 3 or4 more than 18 months in this picture. She talks a mile a minute- chatty all day rather you understand her or not - with over 50 words in her arsenal! She has even started saying her name if prompted enough. She knows where you turn to get to her Mimi's house and makes sure you know by calling out to Mimi when we pass by each day. She loves pointing out body parts and even knows where her tushy is! She will show a stranger her belly button as a conversation starter and this little munchkin is not shy! She will talk to anyone- anywhere. She is a 100% mama's girl - except she loves for her daddy to read to her- he does it best! She loves animal sounds and abc's- which makes Barney's Animal ABC Match dvd her favorite thing to watch - sometimes 2 or 3 times a day when she isn't at daycare. She even sings her abc's- well her version though you can make out A, B and a few other letters. She is a dancing fool - and I hate to admit she knows to throw her hands in the air and nod her head at the right time when she hears Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA. She is an all out Girly Girl - loves her purse, baby doll, beads and especially shoes! She spins till she can't stand up and is a bubble freak! Of course she can do it herself and it's so cute to see her try!

As far stats she is as of a few weeks ago 22.8 lbs and as of this weekend 32 inches tall.

I am blessed to have her in my life- each day is an adventure and new when I look through her eyes!

Play On

This past Saturday me, my mom, my friend Kristi, her daughter Hailey and her niece Molly went to see Carrie Underwood. and her Play On tour. That girl can sing. I saw her on the American Idol tour after she won and a few years ago in Nashville and at the CMA Festival in Nashville but nothing like it was Saturday. It was a great concert and I am so glad we could go - even though we were in the nose bleed section - up againist the wall in the very top. Let me tell you it was trip getting down - especially b/c I am scared of heights.

Hailey , me and Molly getting ready for the concert to start

After a wardrobe change she came out in the back of this chevy which lifted up over the crowd and around the arena. It was so cool!

The back of the truck- instead of Chevy it says Carrie!

Yes I Know

I am a horrible blogger and since I am using this as sort of a memoir baby book (since I am so good at filling out the acutally non computer baby book). But I have a few excuses to offer as a defense for my recent behavior

First off we took time to go to the beach a few weeks ago while the weather was nice and not as hot as it is now. Needless to say after Sam warmed up to the sand it was a great hit and hope to get back soon if they can keep the oil away...

During this trip it was where Sam got her first bug bite and needless to say we learned that
she has what the dr called a hypersensitivity to them and after a day or so gets welts around the bites which we have to use an steriod cream on. Needless to say if she steps 1 foot out of the house she is covered in bug spray!

Also we learned of the new hair styles like above that can be find with using a wash cloth on our hair during a bath. Reading material is a must during all spa/styling procedures (this was taken the night we got back from the beach and the picture was taken a few days later - notice the poor things bug bites have changed drasctically.)

And that is the end of our post for tonight. Good Night and See Ya Soon!

Bubbles!!!!

This past Friday my mom came over and hung out with Sam while I got some house cleaning done. Since the weather was nice and it was cooling down a little mom took Sam out to blow bubbles. This is one of Sam's favorite things and as you can see in the pictures below she is really trying to learn how to blow bubbles herself. Needless to say both she and my mom were both soapy by the time they got done.....

Okay show me what to do first mimi....

first attempt at blowing....

Okay dunk the stick one more time

And blow really hard!

Hello World

Well what a few weeks it has been since I last checked in...
Sam has had the following:
A viral rash- non contagious- thank the lord
An Ear infection that is now on it's second dose of antibiotics!
Pink Eye- thank you mother who kept insisting her child had allergies instead had pink eye, who in turn passed it to everyone in the class! No seriously I feel bad for the boy and in defense of the mom I thought Sam's was allergies at first but also have been told her's wasn't nearly as bad as everyone elses due to the antibiotic we were on for the ear infection.

So here is a montage of things that happened since we last saw you...

Sam's new song- I wear sunglasses at night....

the child is a hat freak! she would also only wear it backwards!

New way to sit lady like on the couch

but it's better than this way

Or trying to use the couch as a trampoline and dance stage

on nice days we played with chalk

and even met a caterpillar
On rainy days we painted our toe nails
Have a great weekend!

A Hit!

I have so many pictures to upload and so so many blogs to write - but no time. Here is a quick one to tell you guys about what is all the Rage in our House:

First of we sing along to Taylor Swift- The one that gets the most cheers and dancing is her song "You Belong To Me" Sam is so cute cheering for it when it comes on and ends!

The world fades away when these two characters are spotted in a store or are on tv:

Abby Cadabby

And

Elmo!

She would literally sit in front of the tv all day if I would let her watching Sesame Street!

As it is she walks around all day calling Abby and Belmo (Elmo) hoping we will put the show or one of the many DVD's we have on. Needless to say we DVR this show religously.

Last and most important of all Sam loves Babies! She always has a baby in tow and if she sees one she has to hold it or at least touch a baby when we see a real live one in person. She points them out in books, on tv - anywhere she sees one. She is a great little mother to all her babies!

Have a good weekend!
