Random Thoughts Tuesday

Okay here we go:

I feel like such a bad mom- when i was pregant I could religously tell you what week i was in my pregnancy- now I have totally lost count of how many weeks Sam has been alive! I know months - but if you ask me how many weeks till she is 6 months old - I have no idea- stupid 5 week months!

I love how Sam rolled from her stomach to her back first but now that she knows how to roll from her back to her stomach - she gets ill b/c she can't roll from her stomach to her back- but once you roll her to her back she just rolls to her stomach again in a few minutes.

I am addicted to pancakes- For years I have snarled my nose at even the thought of trying pancakes- well this past week I got one at work and have been eating them everyday since.

I finally released my hold and let Sam spend the night with my mom - and across town at that! I feel like I have taken a major step forward- is it a step back if I am not going to let this happen for another 5 months?

I wish there were never any reruns and if you wanted a show not to be cancelled they would keep it going just for you.

I also want to know how come you can miss months and months of a soap opera and on your one day off watch it and get hooked again? Thank goodness for DVR and Soapnet that shows todays show that night.

5 Months

Sam is 5 months old today! I can't believe how time has flown! She is growing so much each day and showing us more and more of the person she is becoming. We have gotten into such a routine, that I can't imagine what I did before she arrived. Though we have no doctor visit this month I plan to place her on a scale the first chance that I am around one to she how much she has gained since we started solids.
Just a few things she has starting doing since last month:

She has started solids: She has now mastered Cereal, Green Beans, Carrots and Squash.. in a few days we will try peas.

Here she is trying to help me feed her:

She can now stand flat footed in her excersaucer when it is set on the lowest setting:

She also will now greet everyone with bubbles and drool: Yes Sam can blow bubbles at you - and she does it ALL the TIME!

Also though I haven't been able to catch it on film or in a picture- Sam can roll over from her stomach to her back!! And looks so happy when she does- I bet it has something to do with the screaming and clapping me and Greg do each time she does it!

Lastly Sam laughs at everything. Below is a film of her laughing taken with my camera. Greg is making her bouncy seat rock and she thought this was the most funniest thing!

Catchin Up

So since it has been a while since I have posted anything I thought I would update you with various events that have happened over the last few weeks...

We have found our feet. Sam thinks these are the best toys she's got!

Sam has also started to grab at things that are hanging in front of her.

Being silly for the camera instead of burping for mommy!

My first Mother's Day (taken at my aunt's house)
4 Generations!

Sam's first taste of carrots... She loved them! She has also mastered cereal and green beans!
