Three weeks ago pre-missing camera we took Sam to a friend of ours pool and though it was not exactly a hit... she didn't seem to mind...





Afterwards we headed to some friends house here is Sam hanging with the gang

Chatting away

Well Sam has turned into a little chatterbox...
Her new word is babababababa. Not sure what she means with that but after a weekend of hearing her say da --- this was not the first babble word I expected.

Dr. Visit

Well we visited the dr this morning and after crying over pricked fingers and shots we learned this information
I am suppose to be feeding Sam 3 times a day- uhoh - well we plan on starting that this weekend.

Need to start baby proofing the house

She can start eating protein food items..... onward to Stage 2 foods
as well as teething food items like crackers and toast

Also start letting her drink from a cup (been doing that this week so at least I head in that area)

And for the good stuff she....

Weighs 15lbs 8oz (50th percentile)
Length 27" long (90th percentile)
Head Circumfrence: 17 1/4 (90th percentile)


Also our stranger anxiety is kicking in - and now reaches for anybody that she wants to go to ---like the nurse believe it or not! But cried with the dr- didn't realize that the nurse was the one to give the shots!!!!

All in all a very good visit!

Where did 6 Months go....

I can't believe my baby is 6 months old today! As I am trying to type this with out crying...
We don't go to the doctor till Friday so I can't update you on weight and all that fun stuff
But here is the things we have learned or are doing...



* She sleeps through the night - going to sleep at 8pm and waking up between 6 and 6:30am



* She is thisclose to sitting up - still working on the balance part



* She can rollover both ways



* She si trying to army crawl -gets so frustrated that she can't and then gets so frustrated that she can't remember how to roll to her back and gets even more mad!


* She can squeal at the top of her lungs and constantly blows bubbles at you

* She also over the past few days has off and on started to reach for you

* Mom is even trying to teach her how to drive~



We have even started letting her practice for her 1 year b'day with a mini cupcake
(don't worry she didn't eat it or even have a taste of the frosting - I know we aren't any fun)

New Pictures

We went to Porttrait Innovations on Saturday to get 6 month pictures of Sam.
They did an amazing job- It was so hard to decide!

Thankful Thursday

* I am so thankful for my husband who insistes on washing bottles. He actually comes to me and says " no I will do it" and won't let me near the sink to do - if I want to wash bottles I have to actually sneak to wash them

* I am thankful for the time I get to spend with Greg and Sam as we are getting Sam ready for bed- its bath (some nights),all lotioned up, pjs and then bottle and story time. Then me and Greg each stand at her bed and stare at her as she starts to fall alseep. AHH my happy place

* I am greatful that even though I may complain about it I do have a job- this job pays money so I am able to afford to take Sam to Portrait Innovations for her 6 month pictures and family pics- and thankful Greg has gone along with this idea without complaint

* I am also thankful to have a 6 month old to take pictures of- she is a long awaited blessing and miracle!

* I hate cars - especially when you are close to paying it off (2 payments) and it decides okay let's cause trouble- and then proceeds to break down or have expensive repairs.

* I wish I was back at the beach - things were fun there and everyday worries were gone

* I hate also that I care what people think - so I have responsiblities that keep me from doing what you think I should do - I need to learn to say just get over it.

* Okay I am having very negative Random Thoughts- I wonder if this is enough of a reason for me to claim sick and leave work - I doubt it

Cowgirl

This weekend we went to our friends house in Springville and Sam got to meet Jake my mom's horse - well now Sam's. Though at first she had no interest in anything to do with him-she happened to see him in the pasture while mom was holding her at the door and couldn't look away - they were joking that she wasn't even blinking - we went outside and got a closer look and she was mesmerized by him and another horse our friend owns- they were just eating hay - I know we would have gotten a squeal or laugh out of her if we had caught them doing any kind of walking or running. Mom is excited- she see a cowgirl in the making.

I really hate laundry- and if you visit my house you can tell - it looks like my closet exploded..I have tried to do better with Sam's clothes but so far I think I am failing.

I have become addicted to snapfish.com- Thanks Holly- But with me and Greg fighting over the computer - as soon as I get on it he asks if I am done yet- I haven't had time to really get some albums organized.

Speaking of snapfish- I realized last night I took at least 3 pictures a day of Sam the first 2 months of her life. Not so many the last 3 months- maybe a few a week- That seems to be how I do a lot of things- obessesion at first - then it fades.

I hate work.... I mean I like the people I work with - I just hate to work.. Can't you tell b/c instead of working I am rambling on this blog

Beach Baby

This weekend we went to our beach house in Destin Florida
This was Sam's first trip and it went really well. We went with some friends of ours the Grills. They have a 4 year old daughter Bri and and 9 month old son Alex. It was a fun weekend... Sam did really well on the ride to Destin and back and loved the beach. The water was a little chilly and Sam wasn't to crazy about that when we tried to stick her feet in it but we all can't wait to go back.
